264 Princess St K7L 1B5,
Service was great a little slow but not bad even on a busy day Amazing food 5 Stars
Really cute and cozy restaurant, and the service was lovely. I really enjoyed the bibimbap -- it was piping hot, the ingredients were super fresh, and it tasted great. I would love to come back and try the jijangmyun.
Very good food. A little pricy and it gets really hot when there’s a lot of people. Overall, I would come back again.
Delicious authentic Korean dishes, 'Chicken Mayo' is the must try in the menu.
Lovw the bibimbap, spicy tofu and cheese sticks here! Great food and good prices too.
Great food with quick service! Korean wings are cooked well and the serving sizes were reasonable for the price. Not too expensive and good for small groups. Suggested to call and reserve before because it does get quite busy between lunch and dinner.
I have a love-hate relationship with PodoNamu. Their food is authentic and reasonably priced. In personally a big fan of the Scallion Fried Chicken. That being said, their service is atrocious: I've waited for my food up to an hour before. But if you're have a craving for some delicious Korean fried chicken, PodoNamu should be your only option.
Compared to places I've tried, the food here was just average. The service here was very quick and attentive but I just think that they should add more variety to their menu. I ordered the spicy tuna kimbap and the beef dolsot bibimbap. The kimbap was very underwhelming. It was just rice and tuna and some other veggies with some type of gochujang-based dollop of sauce. It had okay flavour to it. The bibimbap was made with ground beef so I didn't enjoy it too much. I added the sauce to the rice but even the sauce couldn't give it an extra boost of flavour. If I do return, I'll likely try the fried chicken as they seem to have a good variety of flavours.
The fried chicken is amazing. Small but cozy inside.
Fantastic food, solid prices, and only a few steps from the heart of downtown Kingston - a definite recipe for a good time.
I had the korean cheese sticks, fried chicken with the mild sauce & bbq ribs (bbq ribs are not on the menu yet. He did an exception for me. I hope they put it on soon, so everyone can try them.)The cheese sticks are out of this world.💯This is by far the best korean fried chicken I've had. Trust me I've had many from different restaurants. Biting into it is an experience in it self. The sweet consistent crunch into the juicy chicken ðŸ˜.The bbq ribs where really good as well, perfectly cooked & excellent quality beef. ( if interested in knowing where I've had the best korean bbq ribs you can message me.)Last and not least. The staff is very enjoyable.P.s. if the food take a little time, it's because they put love into it.Enjoy!
Cheap, tasty, good location in downtown Kingston. Casual dining, good to go with friends or alone. This place is packed at dinner time. Very enjoyable Korean food - I always come for a meal when I’m in Kingston.
Price a little bit higher than expected and the service part could also be improved (the waitress) though food is nice
We got seated right away even though it looked like the place was pretty busy. The waitress was super on top of things, she got us our water, appetizers, and first drink orders very quickly. I struggled with finding something I would like on the menu, I told her I wanted beef and not spicy and she picked out the perfect dish, Japchae. It was exactly what I needed. I highly recommend explored their appetizers with some friends and trying out some of the unique drinks they have if you just want to dip your toe in the water. The banana milk and milkis are out of this world. Overall a really great experience, an impressive amount of food for the price, and fast/friendly service to boot!
fantastic chimkem
Fried chicken taste great but relatively smaller portion compared with The Fry
This place is a god-send. I've been here at least 10 times now over 1.5 years. Although the food usually takes 30-40 mins to come out, it's worth every second. The place has really nice vibes, and the food is AMAZING. Absolute treat of a spot. If I had more money I'd come here daily.
The portions are decent; we came in a group of 5 people and had the budae soup, fried chicken, and spicy tuna kimbab. The chicken was okay (a bit lacking in flavour), the soup was everyone's favourite :)
Best korean restaurant in Kingston!!
Best Korean place in town. The food is delicious. Sometimes it can be a bit slow.
This place has the best Koren food in town. The gam ja tang and deep fried Korean chicken are really tasty! As many others have said, service is bad to worst here. But my wife and I still come here quite often due to the good Korean food they offer. My suggestion is to know what you want to order before stepping into the restaurant, order right away when seated, don't be afraid to flag the waiter/waitress and/or help yourself if you need something (go to the cashier to pay, walk to the counter to get more water, etc.). Embrace the non-American service culture for the good food! And be patient, know what to expect before going into this place :)
Good menu with tasty options. Friendly and helpful staff. Atmosphere is warm and inviting.
Good food and good prices. They offer a discount on the day's dish
Absolutely addicted to the sweet and sour spicy chicken. This is my go to restaurant. It is authentic korean and you can tell it is worth going by how busy it always is. Sometimes you may have to wait, but that is down to how busy it is. Overall I recommend it to everyone.
Their fried chicken was good. Besides that, the rest of the menu was okay. Their flavouring is a bit bland and I find that their Korean hot pepper paste was not as concentrated or prominent as I would like in my food. There are not enough servers for this place and it's a bit disorganized.
Fun cuisine. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food. Price was right. We will certainly go back.
This place has delicious kimchi stew. Their food is close to homemade style Korean food. This sill be my go-to place when I want Korean food.
The best C6 sweet and sour boneless chicken in Kingston, hotpot and Korean cheese sticks.
the food is absolutely amazing, the pork bone soup is the best, but the service is a little bit slow.overall,it's a decent reastuarant
Ate here last week. Positives; I had the glass noodles with beef which was great-would order again. Place was fairly empty when we came, and service was reasonably paced. Bathroom clean.Negatives; Bibimbap was decent but not as good as at other restaurants, and waitress forgot to bring cutlery and left before we could ask.
Amazing food. I had no idea Korean food was so good until I came here. The service is a bit slow but totally worth the wait. Eat here and enjoy. Vegan and Vegetarian options as well (I am not either of those but thought I would mention for those that are).
It’s a great place with the best pork bone stew in town. Their hours of operation is a bit unpredictable. My friends and I have encountered several times that the restaurant is closed during operation time they posted. Always have a backup plan ;)
Very nice staff, food was delicious.
We found this small welcoming restaurant by chance, simply walking up the street from parking the car, and had the best meal in Kingston. Imagine: on a cold rainy evening, a bowl of the most amazing bibimbap: a hot, large bowlful of rice and chicken with lots of tasty toppings at a good price, too. Wonderful and tasty food, welcoming, attentive staff, unstuffed atmosphere. And so happy it took us away from from restaurant chains and look-alike hopefuls. Definitely our #1 eating place in Kingston - and hoping to visit again soon!
Boneless chicken is excellent. It may be too spicy for some people. But it has a great balace
There's a reason why it's so busy - it's really great!
Good food, good chicken. Can get cold sitting near the door if people are coming and going
Check out this quaint little spot on princess Street, food was amazing we had the chicken Mayo and beef bulgogi and a couple of really nice tofu appetizers. This place is definitely going to see my business again.
Great food!
Our favourite place to go when we want some Korean food. They're nut free which makes me feel incredibly confident and safe, as it is hard to eat many different foods due to cross contamination or lack of allergy awareness at all. The food here is amazing and I hope to try everything! The staff are all very nice and the atmosphere is great, they have lots to look at with decorations everywhere.
This is a lovely restaurant right downtown. It's usually very busy on weekends but we've rarely had to wait for a table. Their fried chicken is really delicious (especially with Korean spicy sauce), and the dolsot bibimbap is fantastic. I love the atmosphere there, with many families and groups of friends sharing big dishes of food. Highly recommend!Picture: dukbokki, half and half chicken
Excellent fried chicken! Must try if you're in the area. Although it is a little small and crowded (especially during peak dinner time), it's definitely worth it for the food.
Great bibimbap.
It is hard to see it is a Korean restaurant. It is seem like the owner of the store know nothing about Korean cuisine. As a traditional Korean cuisine, before the meal, a lot of free dishes will be displayed for costumers. There is no extra charge for adding the appetizers. This restaurant is terrible. When I order a beef rice, there are tiny pieces of beef foams float on the top of the rice. The only flavour that you can get is salt, like the flavour of the snow on the street. Vegetables are dehydrated, meat seems keep a long time. Never go again! Kingston is awesome except you!!!!!!!!!!
Fried chicken was delicious.
Gim Bap and ramen on tuesdays. if you dont know what this is... I feel bad for your taste buds. go to podo namu on tuesday and get Gim Bap with some ramyun. its pure bliss.
Need to clean their dishes more carefully. Will never go back.
Pork bone soup was okay but broth was lacking spices and the garlic fried chicken was terrible. Fat chicken that had a taste of freezer
My favorite Korean restaurant in kingston. I love there kimchi pancake, fried chicken and bibimbap. It's the great quality and feels like family business. Doesn't work on Mondays and closes between lunch and dinner for a break, so be aware. And I have to say the price is a little above average ...
Great food, but might need to wait a bit longer than other restaurants
